We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress and PHP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of WordPress development, including the ability to create custom plugins, as well as strong PHP programming skills. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a timely manner.
As a WordPress and PHP Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our WordPress-based websites and applications.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain WordPress websites and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and responsiveness.
– Create custom WordPress plugins and themes to meet specific project requirements.
– Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to implement and enhance website functionalities.
– Optimize websites for speed and search engine optimization (SEO).
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including bug fixes and compatibility problems.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress and PHP development trends and best practices.
– Test and deploy WordPress updates, plugins, and themes across various environments.
– Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintain coding standards.
– Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
– Proven work experience as a WordPress and PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
– Expertise in WordPress development, including custom plugin and theme development.
– Proficiency in PHP programming and experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter).
– Sound knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
– Familiarity with database management systems, particularly MySQL.
– Understanding of web services, APIs, and integration with third-party applications.
– Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
– Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
– Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce) and payment gateway integrations.
– Knowledge of responsive web design and mobile optimization.
– Familiarity with web security principles and best practices.
– Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to collaborate with designers.
– Familiarity with server management and hosting environments (e.g., AWS, cPanel).
