Duties and Responsibilities:
He will be responsible for day to day procurement operations of projects.
Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
Maintaining good supplier relations and vendor management.
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
Responsible to source for potential suppliers and analyze price quotations & quality standards.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
Assigns a coverage person to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arises such as travel, out of office for personal or business need.
Skills Required:
Must have strong IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
Good attention to detail, with an analytical approach and ability to work using your own initiative
Need to have strong verbal communication skills to ensure effective engagement with both suppliers and internal stakeholders as a means to building longstanding relationships
Previous experience in a construction buying/procurement based role would be advantageous but is not essential
Ideally will have a Business or Construction related discipline ยท
Bachelor’s degree in procurement with 2 years experience
